In 2013 I want to complete the Ironman of Lanzarote: 3.8 kilometers swimming, followed by 180 kilometers bicycle racing and running a complete marathon. I have chosen to take up this challenge for charity and will support the Dutch organization KiKa, which stands for Children Cancerfree. KiKa raises funds that benefit the seven child cancer centers in The Netherlands. This money will be used for research, so these centers can speed up the process of making therapies available for better treatment and finding a cure against child cancer. In the next 2 years, preparing towards the Lanzarote Ironman, I will try to draw attention for this cause as much as possible. My goal is to raise a minimum amount of € 10,000.- for KiKa. If I succeed in raising this amount in an earlier stage, I will of course continue and try to raise the bar a little higher! In the meantime, I am also trying to contact sponsors that would like to cover some expenses during this project. All KiKa donations will guaranteed be forwarded to the KiKa foundation though!
I have opened up a separate account for these donations. For international transfers, details are:
IBAN Number: NL51ABNA0475600827 BIC Number: ABNANL2A Bank Name: ABN AMRO Account in name of: E.F. Lentfert
For domestic transfers, please use the following account details: Account 47.56.00.827, in the name of E.F. Lentfert, payment details: Ironman 4 KiKa
It is also possible to donate directly to the KiKa foundation. In that case please use Account P8118, in the name of Stichting KiKa in Utrecht, payment details: Ironman 4 KiKa
Please make sure to always use the description “Ironman 4 KiKa” in the payment details, so both KiKa and I can track the total amount donated for this challenge.
